Process Engineer

About the role

ATI is seeking to hire a Process Engineer to support our Specialty Rolled Products coil mill facility in Vandergrift, PA. This position is in our technical band and reports directly to the Manager, Technology (Process Engineering).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for process development and improvement.
• Responsible for process troubleshooting and resolving quality-related issues.
• Responsible for quality cost control.
• Responsible to effectively interact with all other employees including management.
• Responsible for material assessment and disposition of non-conforming product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with project development, implementation and management.
• Experience with process analysis, conducting controlled experiments, and the ability to summarize data.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
• Problem solving skills, and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Fundamental personal computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages.
• Knowledge of mill product production.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required in dealing with both internal and external customers.
• Highly technically competent, persuasive, and organized.

Qualifications

• Must have a working knowledge of Quality Management Systems including product quality, calibration records, and training documentation.

Skills

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
