Process Engineer

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, Canada, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico. We are searching for a Process Engineer who’s not only technically skilled but also passionate about mentoring, improving processes, and partnering with customers to find innovative solutions. As a Process Engineer, you’ll bridge technical expertise with hands-on field support—helping our teams deliver exceptional results in high-purity and precision cleaning projects across industries like aerospace, biotech, and beyond. This role reports directly to our Associate Director of Engineer Services and will work remotely with up to 50% travel. What You’ll Do Provide conceptualization and engineering support to Sales & Operations teamsReview drawings, specs, and procedures to design project approachesCreate and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain an organized procedural databaseParticipate in internal/external technical reviews, audits and job walksDeliver training and mentorship to Field Services Technicians and Project LeadersIdentify process improvements, new service opportunities, and market potentialServe as a trusted advisor to customers to develop creative, cost-effective solutions What You’ll Bring 5+ years in chemical cleaning, process design, or process constructionBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred) or equivalent high-purity cleaning expertiseProven technical writing skills (SOPs, specifications)Experience in high-purity, precision, or industrial cleaning highly preferredStrong project management, problem-solving, and leadership skillsWillingness to travel up to 50% (domestic) Why You’ll Love It Here You’ll join a company that values innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration.
