Core Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Production and Maintenance groups to solve problems related to quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Develop & execute plans for manufacturing cost reductions with respect to 5M efficiency, including the adaptation of new technologies into the production process.
  • Cook up plans for new products and product engineering changes into mass production.
  • Establish, document, and maintain the Process Control Plan outlining product quality requirements, process setting conditions, and validation requirements within the product line of responsibility.
  • Make recommendations and provide justification for capital investments to be made in the area of responsibility for improvements in quality, safety and productivity.
  • Create specifications for equipment, jigs and processes.
  • Conduct investigations into product quality issues, supporting root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Develop manufacturing equipment specifications for existing machine modifications and new line introductions.
  • Design new and revised processes to meet customer and internal requirements for quality, cost, delivery, and environment.
  • Cook up project schedules for equipment modifications and installations, including management of external equipment suppliers and contractors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 0-5 years in Manufacturing Engineering in and Engineering role.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience leading projects and CFT's
  • Proven development of processes, product and equipment from concept to implementation
  • Analytical & troubleshooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (including Excel, Word, Power Point, & Access) is a must!
  • Other knowledge requirements include robotics programming, PLC programming, AutoCAD, & SolidWorks.
  • Experience in successful development of multiple new product launches preferred
  • Work experience in manufacturing operations preferred (Automation, Automated vision inspection, Soldering, TIG Welding, or Laser Welding)

Candidates residing 50+ miles from the work location are eligible for relocation assistance. Annual Salary: $73,000 - $91,000.
