About the role
The Process Control Automation Technician (PCAT) supports Chlor-Alkali partners with process control needs based on business requirements. This role involves maintaining and supporting plant process control systems, training operations personnel, and improving plant metrics.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain plant process control systems (Delta V, MOD V)
- Leverage Process Control Most Effective Technology (MET) to support operations
- Coach operations personnel on day-to-day process control activities
- Generate and update programming to support day-to-day operations and improvement projects
- Perform DCS program loads for the facility
- Develop and maintain DCS graphics/flowsheets
- Provide first-level support for DCS hardware
- Monitor and improve plant metrics including alarm frequency
- Maintain up-to-date code documentation to support the life cycle of plant
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree* preferred
- 3+ years of control systems experience
- Programming and chlorine chemical process experience preferred
- Experience with MOD V and/or Delta V control system preferred
- Prior Olin experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple support activities simultaneously
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC and possess a valid US Driver's license
- Available to provide periodic off-hours support (on-call support)
Qualifications
- Accredited degree from a school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent from an international university
