About the role

The Process Control Automation Technician (PCAT) supports Chlor-Alkali partners with process control needs based on business requirements. This role involves maintaining and supporting plant process control systems, training operations personnel, and improving plant metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain plant process control systems (Delta V, MOD V)
  • Leverage Process Control Most Effective Technology (MET) to support operations
  • Coach operations personnel on day-to-day process control activities
  • Generate and update programming to support day-to-day operations and improvement projects
  • Perform DCS program loads for the facility
  • Develop and maintain DCS graphics/flowsheets
  • Provide first-level support for DCS hardware
  • Monitor and improve plant metrics including alarm frequency
  • Maintain up-to-date code documentation to support the life cycle of plant

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's Degree* preferred
  • 3+ years of control systems experience
  • Programming and chlorine chemical process experience preferred
  • Experience with MOD V and/or Delta V control system preferred
  • Prior Olin experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple support activities simultaneously
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC and possess a valid US Driver's license
  • Available to provide periodic off-hours support (on-call support)

Qualifications

  • Accredited degree from a school recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent from an international university
