About the role
The Process Coater II position plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process at LISI AEROSPACE, a leading provider of high-tech metal components for the aerospace industry. This position is responsible for performing various coating operations on aerospace components under the supervision of the department supervisor or lead.
Responsibilities
- Perform coating operations such as painting of pins & collars, cetyl alcohol lubrication, water-based cetyl, automatic paint applications, dry film lube, pan coater paint application, and rotomat paint application.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job routers to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Operate all coating equipment, including spray equipment, bake ovens, and lube tanks.
- Troubleshoot equipment and report repair needs to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Operate electric or manual pumps for chemical or paint removal as needed.
- Handle all chemicals safely in accordance with company and governmental regulations.
- Ensure product quality meets all company and industry standards.
- Complete assigned workload efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain equipment performance, report malfunctions promptly.
- Train new coating operators as assigned.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and practices.
- Attend all required HSE training and report any nonconformance immediately.
- Promote continuous improvement and participate in waste elimination initiatives, including recycling.
- Mentor and assist in training other employees as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- High School or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years industrial experience and/or training in related area desired.
Physical Demands
- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching above shoulder level.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 30 pounds for extended periods of time.
- Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing level within normal/average range.
Safety and Environmental
- Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- Compliance with company and governmental safety, environmental, and hazardous materials regulations and procedures.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, proper footwear, and respirators in specified areas.
- Participation in the development and promotion of the HSE culture.
- Immediate correction or reporting of malfunction or risky situations to superiors and/or the HSE department.
- Implementation of preventive actions to reduce the environmental footprint and control health and safety risks.
- Participation in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups related to professional scope.
- Familiarity with health and safety risks and environmental impacts relating to the scope of work.
- Familiarity with the site's HSE policy and objectives.
