About the role
The Process Assistant supports and works in the department as required, helping with daily management duties, providing coverage for Area Managers, and participating in operational excellence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supports and works in the department as required
- Helps support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers
- Provides vacation coverage for Area Managers
- Provides policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
- Tracks and reports of ATS/labor hours
- Aids the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance
- Ensures successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance
- Participates in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity
- Fills in as needed with production duties
- Reviews and updates SOP as required
- Assists in keeping work area clean and organized
- Identifies and addresses safety hazards within the work area
- Coaches associates to work safely at all times
- Participates in safety initiatives
- Refers all job injuries immediately to area manager
Requirements
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience, high school or equivalent, work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays, lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Preferred Qualifications: Education beyond High School, and/or prior experience managing employees, excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills, demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of Amazon associates and management, experience with an FC kaizen or Shingi event, an awareness and willingness to use OE tools and techniques, experience working in Problem Solve a plus, leadership ability

Pay
The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select.
As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay.
