Responsibilities

  • Providing direction to a working sub-team consisting of a Control System Technician, a Utility Operator, and other resources.
  • Establishing strong working relationships with operating area personnel such as area managers, staff engineers, operators, and more.
  • Acquire and utilize key process information to specify the appropriate analyzer system for the application.
  • Cookordinate the installation of the system with multiple organizations.
  • Document the procedures associated with safe and reliable operation of the system, as well as technical reports and training documentation.
  • Assist with training the Process Instrument Analysts for ongoing maintenance of the system.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting in the event of a system failure necessitating differentiated expertise.
  • Provide insight of statistical control for instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Chemistry (preferred analytical or physical chemistry focus) or chemical engineering degree preferred and generally most suitable, with a coinciding mechanical aptitude being highly beneficial. BS through PhD degrees can qualify depending on specifics of educational and work experience.
  • 3 years minimum work experience, 5 preferred.
  • General attributes/skills necessary include:
    • Commitment to personal safety and that of the greater team.
    • Technical competence in the specialized field of Process Analytics.
    • Capable of effectively managing multiple concurrent projects.
    • Ability to lead and influence others.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Occasional travel (up to 5%) may be required
