Description Position Summary The Process Accounting Representative I processes adjustments, transactions, or payments timely and accurately to credit card account holders. The individual uses established criteria and exercises reasonable judgment in processing transactions. Summary Of Essential Job Functions Process in-house payments, maintaining accurate and complete records.Transmit in-house payments to Remitco for posting.Make recommendations on any matters affecting productivity, efficiency, service or problem resolution.Research, resolve, and track a variety of back office requests from various sources, which may include credit balance refunds or transaction processing.Review and validate customer activity.Data entry, daily balancing of transactions, and quality validation.Ensure daily functions are completed accurately and within established deadlines.Perform exceptions research and processing of transactions or payments timely and accurately to credit card customers.Initiate necessary actions to safeguard the Bank’s assets through reasonable judgment when performing duties.Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Minimum of 2+ years of payment exception experience in a financial institution with work history in check processing within the past 5 years.Preference is given to those individuals with prior experience working on the Fedline or in a back office environment.Experience in posting adjustments to card member accounts via online and batch processing in the First Data System (3270) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and resolution abilities.Strong PC skills in Windows to include Microsoft Excel and Word.Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well with minimal supervision.10-key by touch and 40 wpm typing skills required.
