Procedure Support Tech - Outpatient Surgery, PRN

Responsibilities

• Performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
• Performs a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).
• Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment.
• Positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure.
• If needed, assists with case cart preparation.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment.
• Transports patients as required.
• Functions as an integral member of the operating room team.
• Contributes to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support AHS BLS Certification Upon Hire Required.
