Procedure Support Tech I - OR

About the role

The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This role is responsible for a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).

Responsibilities

• Inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain operating room equipment
• Position patients and prepare them for procedures
• Assist with case cart preparation as needed
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly procedural environment
• Transport patients as required
• Function as an integral member of the operating room team to maintain a safe, professional, respectful, and effective patient care environment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHS BLS Certification upon hire required)
