Responsibilities

• Performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse
• Performs a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s)
• Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment
• Positioning patients and patient preparation for procedure
• Assists with case cart preparation if needed
• Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment
• Transports patients as required
• Functions as an integral member of the operating room team and contributes to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support AHS BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
