Procedure Scheduler - Pulmonary Ann Arbor

About the role

Procedure Scheduler Deliver Outstanding Service to Every Patient! Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Procedure Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to providers by scheduling complex medical procedures and meetings, and overseeing the authorization from insurance companies for those procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule complex medical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and oversee the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update the EHR system.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Credentials/Licensure: None.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training, or demonstrated proficiency performing all Medical Reception core functions (check‑in, check‑out and phones) or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
• Experience in scheduling medical procedures or appointments is highly preferred.
