Surgery Scheduler - Urology Ann Arbor Campus

About the role
Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Surgery Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing support to providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings while helping create exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
- Obtain insurance authorizations and oversee the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
- Oversee Provider schedule templates and input monthly schedules.
- Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
- Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
- Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent training.
- Demonstrated proficiency performing all Medical Reception core functions.
- 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training, or demonstrated proficiency performing all Medical Reception core functions (check in, check out, and phones) or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
