Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify nursing diagnoses
• Create and adjust personalized care plans
• Audit nursing practices for quality and effectiveness
• Teach patients and staff about care and systems
• Monitor patients' health and communicate changes effectively
• Contribute to decision-making and recognize others' contributions

Requirements

• Accredited program or 2 years minimum
• Major focus or specialization in Nursing
• Relevant professional experience (ideally), but less than 1 year can suffice
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures
• Understanding of legal, regulatory, and professional standards
• Certification and accreditation requirements
• Familiarity with departmental policies
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to address problems with critical thinking
