Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Frisco is preparing to open its doors in Spring 2027, and we are assembling an elite team of cardiovascular professionals who want more than a job—they want to help define the future of heart care in one of the nation’s fastest growing regions.

As a new team member, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a new, state of the art heart hospital designed with one purpose in mind: delivering world class, patient entered cardiovascular care. In anticipation of our opening, select roles will begin as early as Summer 2026, allowing you to complete comprehensive orientation and training at our nationally recognized Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospitals.

Responsibilities

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, work as a licensed professional using the nursing practice model to oversee patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, and developing personalized care plans. Regularly assess patient responses.

Contributions help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the system. This prevents complications and delays. Delegate tasks based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.

• Assess patients and prioritize their needs.
• Create and adjust care plans for better results.
• Assess your nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness.
• Help teach patients and staff.
• Use systems thinking to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
• Contribute to decision-making and recognize others' contributions meaningfully.

Requirements

• 3 years of RN experience
• Preferred: Procedural or Cardiac experience

Qualifications

• Accredited program or 2 years minimum, required for this position.
• A major focus or specialization in Nursing.
• Ideally, some relevant professional experience, though less than 1 year would suffice.
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.

• In-depth understanding of nursing as well as patient care standards and procedures.
• Understanding legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• A knack for addressing problems with critical thinking.
• Ability to monitor patients' health and communicate changes efficiently to nursing staff and healthcare providers.
• Ability to give top-notch, patient-centered care that honors patient diversity.
