About the Role

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and patient/family to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. You will promote optimal patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act. This role demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care and our organizational mission.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records, and clinical data.
• Evaluate patient’s response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement a patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IVs, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Maintain thorough and confidential patient charts and records.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provide patient/family education through assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability.
• Provide teaching and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (or by endorsement).
• RN License in the state of employment.
• 3 years of previous RN experience required.
• Strong critical thinking skills required.
• Experience in pain clinics or similar fast-paced procedural units highly preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work—exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• One (1) year of experience working in a PACU, ER, or procedural area with strong IV skills.

Pay

$33.15 - $59.67 per hour.
