About the role

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office is seeking Probationary Detention Officers to join their team. These positions perform work involved with the supervision, care and transport of Detention Center inmates and related activities as assigned.

• Perform related activities as assigned

Requirements

• Full-time position
• Rate of pay: $31.75 per hour
• Entry level probationary position used for training and evaluation
• Position involves supervision, care, and transport of Detention Center inmates
• Position is located at the Missoula County Detention Facility and at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a drug screening

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of detention facility operations
