Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to travel out-of-town if required
- Minimum 2 years of full-time paid experience in one of the following work environments:
- Court (federal, state, local)
- Legal (attorney's office)
- Government (other than court or law enforcement)
- Law Enforcement
- Jail or Detention Facility
- Human Resources
- Social Services
- Accounting or Banking
- Library
- Information Systems
- Proficiency in the following computer applications:
- Windows
- Outlook
- Word
- Excel
- Access
- PowerPoint
- Publishing
- MUNIS
- AZTECA
- JACS
- JOLTS
- SIRSI
- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
Responsibilities
- Typing routine materials (reports, forms, correspondence, memoranda)
- Proofreading and editing documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, or format
- Proofreading data to verify accuracy
- Updating and correcting information in automated systems
- Filing and retrieving documents in established filing systems
- Preparing and updating logs, file folders, and other documents
- Resolving minor problems in person, by phone, or correspondence
- Composing, drafting, and finalizing correspondence, memoranda, or other documents
- Typing statistical data or technical reports
- Creating new files in systems
- Gathering information, preparing, and processing documents
- Compiling statistical data and preparing reports
- Formatting and producing charts, graphs, or tables using various software
- Sorting, collating, and preparing documents for data entry
- Entering data in computers
- Conducting records searches in databases
- Scheduling and calendaring meetings, appointments, interviews, or conferences
- Establishing and maintaining complex filing systems
Experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of full-time experience in the following areas:
- Typing routine materials
- Proofreading and editing documents
- Proofreading data for accuracy
- Updating and correcting information in automated systems
- Filing and retrieving documents
- Preparing and updating logs and documents
- Resolving minor problems
- Composing and drafting correspondence
- Typing statistical data or technical reports
- Creating new files in systems
- Gathering and processing information
- Compiling statistical data and preparing reports
- Formatting charts, graphs, or tables
- Sorting and collating documents for data entry
- Entering data in computers
- Conducting records searches in databases
- Scheduling and calendaring
- Establishing and maintaining complex filing systems
Additional Considerations
Candidates will be evaluated on past drug usage, including but not limited to:
- Marijuana
- Cocaine/Crack
- Methamphetamines/Speed
- Heroin
- Opium
- Morphine
- LSD/Acid
- Peyote
- Mescaline
- Hashish
- Steroids
- Other illegal drugs or narcotics as defined in Title 13 of the Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS)
- Illegal use of prescription drugs
Any affirmative answers regarding past drug usage, sales, or related activities will require a detailed explanation, including:
- Number of times used
- Number of times used after age 21
- Date first used
- Date last used
- Method of ingestion or consumption
- Duration of usage
- Motivation for use
- How the drug was obtained
- Reason for stopping use
- Any other relevant factors
Candidates must also disclose any history of the following, which will be evaluated in relation to the position:
- Convictions for engaging in sexual abuse
- Civil or administrative adjudications for sexual misconduct or harassment
- Investigations or findings related to sexual abuse, staff sexual misconduct, or sexual harassment
