About the role
Kern County seeks a Probation Division Director to lead the division.
Responsibilities
- Appraise applicants' training, education, experience, interest, and personal fitness for the position through oral exam.
- Conduct oral exams with a weight of 100%.
- Ensure applicants achieve at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree.
- Five (5) years of full-time paid experience in probation field services or institutions work, with one (1) year in a supervisory capacity equivalent to a Probation Supervisor or an Assistant Division Director in the Kern County Probation department.
- California Class C Driver's License.
- Eligibility for a Class B Driver's License.
