Department Summary
The Institute of Ecology and Evolution (IE²) facilitates research and graduate education in ecology and evolutionary biology. The institute fosters a collegial and stimulating intellectual environment for world-class research in molecular evolution, evolutionary genetics, evolution of development, and microbial, population, community, and ecosystems ecology.
Position Summary
IE² at the University of Oregon is soliciting applications for its open applicant pool. Positions are limited duration, funding contingent post-doctoral or research appointments that are part-time or short-term, with contracts not to exceed one year, with the possibility of renewal up to a total of three years depending on program needs, funding, and performance. Successful candidates will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.

Minimum Requirements
- To qualify for the rank of Research Assistant:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related field
- To qualify for the rank of Research Scientist:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related field
- Technical skills and experience relevant to position needs
- To qualify for the rank of Research Associate or Postdoctoral Scholar:
- PhD in biology or related field
