ManagementFull-time

About the Role

Sunset Hill Shooting Range is an outdoor entertainment experience where many guests handle a firearm for the first time. The Pro Shop manager creates an exceptional guest experience while running a professional, organized, and profitable retail operation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Pro Shop team that welcomes guests, explains how the range works, checks customers in, and answers questions.
  • Help first‑time shooters feel comfortable and manage walk‑ins during busy periods.
  • Maintain a visible, front‑line leadership presence, leading the team from the front rather than from behind a desk.
  • Create and sustain a customer‑service culture through training, coaching, setting expectations, and handling customer concerns.
  • Keep energy high during busy periods so customers never feel like an inconvenience.
  • Schedule staff, open and close registers, handle cash reconciliation, and ensure accurate cash handling.
  • Manage merchandising, inventory awareness, and maintain professional retail standards.
  • Identify and implement ways to increase sales and improve the Pro Shop while keeping the focus on great conversations and experiences.
  • Lead, coach, and hold employees accountable to high standards, fostering development and ownership.

Requirements

  • Outgoing, approachable personality comfortable engaging with a wide range of guests—from first‑time shooters to experienced groups.
  • Strong customer‑service mindset that makes people feel welcome, important, and excited.
  • Significant retail experience, preferably including supervision or management responsibilities.
  • Energy and enthusiasm that set a positive tone for the team.
  • Ability to start conversations, build rapport with strangers, and understand how small interactions shape the overall experience.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold employees accountable to high standards.
  • Calm, positive, and solution‑focused demeanor during busy periods.
  • Self‑starter who notices what needs to be done and takes ownership without waiting for direction.
  • Understanding of sales, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented.
  • Potential and desire to grow into senior management (Assistant General Manager or General Manager).
  • Firearms experience is a plus but not required; the ability to lead people and deliver an exceptional guest experience is essential.

Schedule

Full‑Time Thursday – Monday. Pro Shop Hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Typical Operating Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
