About the role
The PRN Youth Development Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the social and emotional well-being of young people in our community programs. This position involves planning and implementing youth development initiatives, providing support to youth, and collaborating with other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement youth development programs that promote positive growth and learning outcomes.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to youth participants.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance program offerings and resources.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to program activities and participant progress.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working with youth.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with youth and staff.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Google Drive.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
