PRN Speech Therapist

About the Role

The Speech Therapist in Home Health evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. They develop and implement treatment plans, perform interventions to improve patient well-being, and monitor progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech therapy services within legal and professional scope, coordinating with the healthcare team
• Assess patient function and assist in developing therapy plans with physicians
• Treat patients to enhance communication skills and functional abilities
• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members on therapy techniques

Requirements

• Licensed in Speech Therapy for the state of residence
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, or access to public transit
