About the role
The Speech Therapist assesses and treats patients with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. They develop and implement individualized treatment plans, perform interventions to improve communication and overall well-being, and monitor patient progress.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services within legal scope and in coordination with the healthcare team.
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and assist in developing therapy plans.
- Treat patients to enhance communication effectiveness based on their condition.
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and team members on therapy techniques.
- Adapt to diverse home situations and patient backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or reliable transportation.
Skills
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Availability for weekend rotations.
Pay
Hourly pay ranging from $37.90 to $56.90.
