PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation Speech Therapist, you will be a part of a growing team. Your responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients by following an individualized plan of care based on an evaluation. You are expected to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills are essential, as are the abilities to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients by following an individualized plan of care following an evaluation.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate in a SNF setting.
- Show strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
- Experience with administering standardized speech/language assessments, conducting swallowing evaluations, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patients' progress.
Requirements
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of [State Name].
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF).
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement processes.
