Patient Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.

Treatment and Education

  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders;
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans;
  • educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Collaboration

  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care;
  • participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Certification: Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).

Skills

  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems;
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
