PRN RN NURSING EDUCATOR

River Point Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of UHS, is an 84-bed treatment facility in central Jacksonville, FL specializing in substance abuse and mental health treatment for youth, adults, and seniors.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused orientation and education for Behavioral Health RN staff as the PRN RN Nurse Educator.
• Assess RN training and development needs on an ongoing basis.
• Coordinate and teach orientation and other training programs (e.g., Treatment Plans, Documentation, group facilitation, Handle with Care, Verbal De-escalation, CPR, AMSR).
• Coordinate and ensure completion of annual mandatory training and staff competency.
• Maintain the hospital’s training calendar and manage the HealthStream online training tool.
• Ensure all CEU submissions are submitted to CE Broker and properly maintained.

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse within the State of Florida.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
• Preferred: two years in psychiatric nursing and at least one year of RN education experience.
