PRN RN

About the role

We are seeking an experienced full-time night shift RN to join our team at Brookridge Retirement Community in Winston-Salem, NC. Brookridge is a gated community situated on 46 wooded acres with 24-hour security ensuring resident safety and a staff-to-patient ratio of less than 10:1.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one visits with patients
• Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify physical, psychosocial, and environmental patient needs
• Assess patient conditions, chart observations, and perform evaluations including vital signs and medication review
• Administer medication as prescribed by the patient’s physician
• Educate patients and their families on proper healthcare strategies and procedures, and recommend devices or tools to improve quality of life
• Provide effective communication to patients/clients, family members, team members, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing
• Current state license as an RN
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Compassionate, friendly demeanor
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work a twelve-hour night shift schedule (7 pm–7 am)
