PRN Registered Nurse Progressive Care

About the Role

Join Overland Park Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, as a PRN Registered Nurse in Progressive Care. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, serving as a patient advocate to support an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or holds an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Minimum of 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services, including Johnson County’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center.
