About the role

We are looking to add an experienced PRN Registered Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in Meadowbrook, PA. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals' nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

This position will be scheduled an average of 8 hours per month, with weekday availability to cover vacations and doctor appointments, and weekends once per month to cover hospital rotation. We are looking for someone with LTC, Short-Stay Rehab, and Acute/Hospital experience. Ideally, a candidate with past experience in Long-Term & Acute care with PCC & MDS Sheet experience. The PRN Registered Dietitian will cover Holy Redeemer Hospital (which shares a campus with St. Joseph's Manor) and the Lafayette campus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem-solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Qualifications

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care (nice-to-have).

Pay

$28.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
