About the role

This entry-level role supports advanced patient care by assisting licensed technologists in modalities such as X-Ray, CT, and mammography.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical procedures following national standards and protocols.
  • Support imaging and positioning under supervision.
  • Complete accurate documentation and support quality assurance activities.
  • Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Manage supplies and inventory, and ensure safety protocols are followed, including radiation safety and ALARA principles.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, physicians, and patients, while supporting scheduling and age/diversity-specific care.
  • Perform other supportive duties within a supervised scope, without independent clinical decisions.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an AMA-approved radiologic technology program with good academic standing.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, eagerness to learn, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Certified in BLS; pursuing ARRT registration pathway.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and position patients and equipment safely, with stamina for standing and walking most of the day.
  • Capable of visual and manual tasks, maintaining focus and calmness in a dynamic environment.
  • Good mental health to handle stressful situations, follow instructions, and ensure safety.
