PRN Radiation Therapist

Responsibilities
- Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.
- Monitor and document patient's condition and report any adverse reactions.
- Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols.
- Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately.
- Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator.
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy technology or registry eligible.
- Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT) in good standing.
- Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Experience with radiation oncology specific electronic medical records as well as record and verify.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy technology or registry eligible. Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT) in good standing. Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Preferred qualifications: Experience with external radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT simulation.
Skills
Requires ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping, reaching and lifting. Requires ability to lift materials weighing up to 35 lbs. Requires ability to push/pull over 100 lbs. Requires dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions. Requires Safe Operating Procedure for x-ray generating equipment. Requires ability to work the hours of operation - flexible. Requires ability to take "call" on weekdays and weekends based on a rotational schedule. Requires ability to float to other CCHS facilities when needed.

Pay
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $44.00 Maximum hourly: $44.00
Schedule
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
