PRN Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Processes prescription orders, labels, creates compounding records, prepares delivery tickets, and assembles patient supplies and equipment.
• Verifies and conducts quality checks on final products before dispensing.
• Assists with quality control and clinical reviews, coordinating care and maintaining patient/clinical records.
• Provides pharmaceutical care, information, and consultation to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Serves as a resource and consultant regarding adverse reactions, interactions, proper use of medications, administration supplies, and equipment.
• Coordinates with nursing personnel for patient care, drug delivery, and clinical assessments.
• Supervises pharmacy support personnel in compounding, packaging, and labeling of compounded sterile products.
• Maintains accurate documentation and complies with relevant policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with physicians, referral sources, and consumers to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.

Requirements

• Licensed R.Ph. in good standing with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience, with at least one year in infusion therapy.
• Experience with managing pharmacy support personnel preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current clinical issues, industry practices, and accreditation standards.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Prioritization and meeting deadlines.
• Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
