PRN Pediatric Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures following policies and procedures.
• Monitor, set-up, wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, and draw/analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs.
• Document clinical information, educate patients and staff, and assist with changing artificial airways.
• Deliver patient-centered care considering age-specific needs and privacy.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist and NBRC registration.
• CPR certification; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in computer skills, effective communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Physical & Environmental Demands

Ability to exert significant physical effort, including lifting, bending, and working in a healthcare setting with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials. Must be flexible to work various shifts and locations.
