Job Summary

Join Overland Park Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, as a PRN Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Cardiac Specialty. This role requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of acute care experience, and a Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. BCLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
  • Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant License required.
  • BCLS certification required upon hire.
  • Must attend PCT Essentials training (M-F 8a – 5pm first 2 weeks of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort.
  • Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
  • Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Manage supplies, equipment, and logs for infection control and team readiness.
  • Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team.

Pay and Schedule

PRN Schedule: 6:45p - 7:15a; 2 12-hr shifts per month.
