PRN Ophthalmologist Physician
Come join our team as a PRN (as-needed) Ophthalmologist providing coverage for hospital trauma call. This role requires responding to trauma cases as scheduled, ensuring timely, efficient, and accurate support for the trauma team and on-call physicians.
About the role
Board-certified Ophthalmologist with a Virginia license, possessing excellent clinical and surgical skills in comprehensive/general Ophthalmology. This position focuses on comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on handling complex surgical services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to growing the practice, and contribute to a healthy work environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for Ophthalmology hospital trauma call.
- Respond to trauma cases as scheduled, ensuring timely and efficient support for the trauma team and on-call physicians.
Requirements
- Medical Degree
- Completed Residency Program
- Completed Internship
- Fellowship trained in Glaucoma
- Virginia State Medical License
- Recent fellowship graduates will be considered
Location
Located in Fredericksburg, VA—55 miles south of Washington, D.C. and 55 miles north of Richmond. Fredericksburg is part of the Northern Virginia region and is considered the southernmost suburb of Washington, D.C. The area is home to major retail and commercial centers, with key employers including the University of Mary Washington, Mary Washington Healthcare, GEICO, and the Federal Government (Marine Base Quantico and the Pentagon are within easy driving distance). Many residents commute to Washington, Richmond, and surrounding counties.
Pay
$700 per day.
