PRN Nurse - Weekends

Job Description

Pinnacle Peak Recovery is a mental health and substance use treatment provider located in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Overnight Registered Nurse position supports the medical and clinical team to ensure high-quality medical care within a detox program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with medication management, client medication education and administration according to physician orders and in accordance with facility policy.
• Absorb and administer clients' prescription medication refills.
• Document and maintain accurate and current client records in EMR software system.
• Complete intake assessments and other required documentation upon admissions.
• Oversee work and responsibilities of Behavioral Health Technicians and act as a resource for BHTs in client care.
• Maintain and observe clients upon admission, manage any medical challenges within license scope and contact physicians as necessary.
• Dispose of bio-hazard waste in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Monitor and observe Urinalysis and/or Breathalyzer tests as needed.
• Maintain and document client vital signs, physical condition, and behaviors as part of the program structure.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
• Abide by all legal and ethical standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Maintains current certification/licensure for this position: RN license, BLS Provider, Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Frequent standing/walking/sitting for long periods.
• Occasional climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist clients up to 300 lbs, entering and exiting vehicles.
