PRN Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

About the role

This is a hospital-based position that offers flexible support to a busy Neurosurgery group based at Utah Valley Hospital. In this role, you will work at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate practicing at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah PRN coverage to support 4 full-time, hospital-based APPs
• 12-hour shifts - 6:30a-6:30p, including weekends and holidays
• Emergency department and inpatient consults, inpatient rounding; inpatient work only
• No call requirement
• Minimum 3-shifts per quarter (if shifts are available)

Requirements

• Prior APP Neurosurgery experience, or experience working inpatient and/or in the OR as an APP

Qualifications

• APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
• BLS certification and DEA
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Skills

• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
• Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
• May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $57.33 - $88.47
