Intensive Care Consortium (ICC Healthcare) is seeking a PRN Neurocritical Care Intensivist to join the team at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
About the Role
Qualified Candidates: Must be board certified/board eligible in Neurocritical Care Prefer an active KS License and live within reasonable distance to Wichita Interest in PRN, 4-6 shifts per month 12 hour day shift with low burden call from home at night for continuity of Neuro Patients Cover 26 bed combined Neuro and Cardiac Unit, typically 10-15 Neuro patients 52 Total Bed Closed ICU and 26 Surgical ICU beds with consults Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 1 Trauma Clinical teaching opportunity to support GME, IM/FM Residents Strong NS Program: Neurointerventionalist, Neurohospitalists, IR, and Neurosurgery support Incentive/Benefits Package: Competitive hourly compensation, W2 or 1099 Expert practice management including privileging, provider enrollment, and billing and collections Appropriate staffing models and flexible scheduling 100% Covered Occurrence based malpractice Insurance Mileage and Lodging support available for commuters
Responsibilities
- Cover 26 bed combined Neuro and Cardiac Unit, typically 10-15 Neuro patients
- Work in a 52 Total Bed Closed ICU and 26 Surgical ICU beds with consults
- Participate in a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 1 Trauma environment
- Teach residents and fellows in clinical settings
- Support the NS Program with Neurointerventionalist, Neurohospitalists, IR, and Neurosurgery teams
Requirements
- Board Certified/Eligible in Neurocritical Care
- Active KS License
- Lives within reasonable distance to Wichita
Qualifications
- Interest in PRN, 4-6 shifts per month
- Experience with 12 hour day shifts with low burden call from home at night for continuity of Neuro Patients
- Experience covering 26 bed combined Neuro and Cardiac Unit, typically 10-15 Neuro patients
- Experience in a 52 Total Bed Closed ICU and 26 Surgical ICU beds with consults
- Experience in a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 1 Trauma environment
- Experience teaching residents and fellows in clinical settings
- Experience supporting the NS Program with Neurointerventionalist, Neurohospitalists, IR, and Neurosurgery teams
