Neurocritical Care Intensivist

ICC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated neurocritical care intensivist to join the team at HCA Houston Clear Lake in Webster, Texas, to support their future Neuro ICU expansion.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurocritical care in a new 18-bed dedicated Neuro ICU
• Support a staffing model of 3 physicians and 2 APPs during the day, 2 physicians at night with residents on both shifts
• Clinical teaching responsibilities for IM, Surgical, EM residencies and future PCCM and Critical Care Fellowships
• Work across four ICU units: MICU, Neuro, CVICU, CCU

Requirements

• Board certified/board eligible in Neurocritical Care
• Completion of NeuroCritical Care Fellowship
• Texas licensure or ability to obtain
• Ability to work full time: 15 (12-hour) day shifts per month with neuro coverage call from home

About the Facility

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 532-bed tertiary regional referral center offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical, and specialty services. Features include:

• Three patient towers with over 40 medical specialties
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Level II Adult Trauma Center
• 70 ICU beds total: MICU (30 beds), Neuro ICU (18 beds), CVICU (8 beds), CCU (14 beds)
• 20 operating rooms
• Pediatric emergency department staffed with pediatric sub-specialists
• 42-bed Level III NICU and 10-bed PICU
• 24/7 services including hospitalists, radiology, lab, pharmacy, and anesthesia

ICU expansion is in progress with a building project expected to complete in April 2027.
