About the Role
A PRN MRI Technologist position focused on conducting high-quality MRI scans for research in a state-of-the-art facility, supporting translational molecular imaging projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-scan safety screenings and quality control on MRI equipment.
- Administer imaging agents safely and monitor participant reactions.
- Execute research protocols, capture, and process MRI images accurately.
- Address participant concerns, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Maintain MRI room safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Coordinate with staff and troubleshoot technical issues with scanner manufacturers.
- Manage imaging data, perform quality assurance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Obtain vascular access and assist with operational tasks within the MRI suite.
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize research workflows and implement process improvements.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or related field.
- Current MRI certification by ARRT and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and equipment operation.
- Critical thinking, independent decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work safely around MRI machinery and manage complex procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
- Training in PET/CT.
- Experience in research program development.
