PRN MRI Technologist

About the Role

A PRN MRI Technologist position focused on conducting high-quality MRI scans for research in a state-of-the-art facility, supporting translational molecular imaging projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-scan safety screenings and quality control on MRI equipment.
• Administer imaging agents safely and monitor participant reactions.
• Execute research protocols, capture, and process MRI images accurately.
• Address participant concerns, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain MRI room safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Coordinate with staff and troubleshoot technical issues with scanner manufacturers.
• Manage imaging data, perform quality assurance, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Obtain vascular access and assist with operational tasks within the MRI suite.
• Collaborate with leadership to optimize research workflows and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or related field.
• Current MRI certification by ARRT and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, protocols, and equipment operation.
• Critical thinking, independent decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work safely around MRI machinery and manage complex procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
• Training in PET/CT.
• Experience in research program development.
