About the role

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist plays a crucial role in the provider care team, assisting with diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions through technical and scientific knowledge. This position is responsible for performing accurate, precise, and timely laboratory tests, evaluating and reporting results while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and report test results accurately and promptly
• Achieve compliance with regulatory standards
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with Mercy Signature Service
• Contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent
• MLT or MLS certification or obtainable within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
• 3 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
• MT(ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
