Job Description
This role is open to both Certified Medical Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates!
Medical Assistant
- Get patients ready for care by prep charts, checking vitals, and setting up the clinic.
- Perform hands-on clinical work such as administering medications, giving immunizations, collecting specimens, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Show tech savvy and attention to detail by keeping patient records updated in the EMR system.
- Work as a team player by supporting providers, participating in team huddles, and maintaining the clinic's smooth operation.
- Act as a patient educator by helping patients understand their treatment plans, new medications, and follow-up care.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Deliver compassionate care by providing nursing services under the supervision of a registered nurse in various settings.
- Assess and document patient care with precision and attention to detail.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
- Collaborate and communicate with a healthcare team to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
- Follow standards to ensure safe and high-quality care as per the Missouri State Board of Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program for Medical Assistants.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) for Medical Assistants.
- Current BLS Certification (or ability to obtain before starting) for Medical Assistants.
- Graduation from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program for LPNs.
- Current license as a practical nurse in the State of Missouri for LPNs.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BCLS) for LPNs.
