Responsibilities

  • Provides education regarding diabetic care, psychiatric medication and other medical needs to enhance individual health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborates with individuals to make medical and/or other Provider appointments as needed.
  • Aids in the intake process and collects blood or urine specimens as ordered.
  • Maintains medication records in accordance with policy and State Regulations.
  • Adheres to federal and state regulations and Recovery Innovations policies and procedures.
  • Supports Medical Assistants and other staff as needed, including treatment and discharge planning.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
  • Current and valid LPN license.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting.
  • Thorough comprehension of psychiatric nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications prescribed.
  • Ability to work with agitated guests in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent clinical documentation skills.
  • Ability to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements.
  • Driving requirements: meet all Recovery Innovations driving policy requirements or sign a Non-Driver Attestation form if not qualified to drive.
  • Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state with different minimum age requirements.
  • Travel may be required based on business need.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must complete a Nursing Competency Checklist as part of the new hire onboarding process.

Pay

$32.00 - $34.00/hour

Schedule

7:00am - 7:30pm / 7:00pm - 7:30am (required to work two 12-hour shifts per month)
