PRN Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to join our team at Newton County Jail in Covington, GA. You will provide a wide range of services as part of an established multidisciplinary treatment team and behavioral health program within a correctional facility.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide preliminary diagnostic impressions.
• Deliver counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services to patients.
• Collect supporting information through interviews, case histories, psychological tests, and observational techniques.
• Evaluate data to identify causes of problems and determine appropriate therapeutic approaches or referrals.
• Provide crisis management counseling and short-term therapy as needed.
• Prepare treatment and follow-up care programs.
• Offer therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services.
• Demonstrate knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and appropriate interventions for each entity.
• Consult with other behavioral health practitioners and related staff in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Current state Mental Health Professional license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including background check and drug screen.
