Role Overview: A per diem Lab Assistant specializing in hematology services is responsible for managing clinical specimens, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining laboratory equipment in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for analysis.Perform specimen and patient information scanning and data entry.Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and replenish supplies.Maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. Qualifications And Skills High school diploma or GED.Comfortable handling biological specimens with accurate identification.Basic computer skills and proficiency in data entry.Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and excellent communication skills.Ability to work extended periods sitting or standing.
