PRN Interventional Radiology Rad Tech Job in Newark, New Jersey

Responsibilities

• Select proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis and adjust radiographic controls (e.g., kilovoltage, milliamperage) to prescribed specifications for proper timing of exposure.
• Review and evaluate developed x-rays, videotapes, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and ensure patient safety.
• Perform radiographic procedures for patients in surgery.
• Collect X-rays of patients’ chest, limbs, or other parts of the body as requested by physicians.
• Administer contrast media to patients for gastrointestinal and other special studies.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal signs to the physician.
