PRN Hospitalist
About the role
This position has been allocated for a board certified or eligible physician. PRN Hospitalist (Hospitalist)
We are searching for a collaborative, sharp, and autonomous clinician to join our inpatient medicine team in the Salt Lake Valley on an "as needed" basis. This role is intended for local, periodic coverage. It is not a locums position and will not include travel, accommodations, or meal coverage. Candidates applying from within the state and local to the area will be prioritized above those applying from outside of the state.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the inpatient medicine team to provide high-quality patient care
- Assess and manage patient conditions, order tests, and prescribe treatments
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and consultations
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately and timely
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Residency training in Internal Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- Current BLS Certification is required before the first day of employment

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

Actual weekly hours vary based on patient volume and needs.
