PRN COTA - Healthpark Care Center (SNF)
About the role
HealthPark Care & Rehabilitation Center is a nationally recognized 112-bed skilled nursing facility. As a COTA, you'll work alongside a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to help patients regain independence after surgeries, strokes, joint replacements, cardiac or pulmonary conditions, and other complex medical events.
Responsibilities
- Implement selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention.
- Make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Occupational Therapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.
- Educate and interact with Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers.
- Respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations.
Requirements
- Required: Associate's degree in accredited COTA program.
- Eligible Lee Health Candidates are required to graduate from an accredited program. The accepted accrediting body required for Lee Health's Rehabilitation Professionals is the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
- No experience required.
- State of Florida Licensure Requirements: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant License.
- Certifications/Registration Requirements: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support).
