About the role

Gateway Rehab Center's (GRC) Back on Track program in Erie, PA is urgently hiring PRN security Monitors to help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for our residence. This is a mission‑driven opportunity for dependable, observant individuals ready to make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient movement and maintain detailed logs
• Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
• Serve as the first point of contact for new patients, conducting intakes and orientations
• Administer drug screenings
• Oversee medication dispensing
• Conduct random room checks
• Transport residents as needed

Requirements

• Strong communication and organization skills
• Ability to pay sharp attention to detail for monitoring resident behavior, facility movement, and identifying potential risks
• Ability to defuse tense situations and handle disputes calmly and effectively
• Handle sensitive information with discretion and uphold a professional demeanor
• High School diploma or GED
• Pass a Department of Corrections Clean Background Check
• Pass a company‑paid drug screen
• Obtain a company‑paid PDD/TB test when possible
• Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record
• Obtain CPR certification shortly after starting

Work Conditions

• Department of Corrections Center setting
• Afternoon and overnight shifts
• Required to remain awake and alert while on duty
• Stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods; may involve lifting as needed
• Mandatory staffing coverage when necessary to provide a safe treatment environment for Gateway patients

Pay

Competitive shift differential.
